I only left him out cos he beat me the last time I played him.

I better put him in or if that was the entry reason, we wouln't have one league, let alone 6 or 7.

Hi Wayne,

Could you enter Stewart Edwards and me in the League for the weekend please? Also I think Kyle Hemmings, Gavin Cawley and Rhys Griffiths will be entering. Cheers!

Allan

2012 Premier League information

With the first Premier of 2012 just nearly with us, there are a few changes to be made.

Nicola Roberts who is still one of the 5 remaining committee will be finding it difficult to be able to reliably attend the Premiers to run the control desk due to work clashing and the commitments to her new baby boy Cae.(I hope I spelt that right Nic). When Nic can't be with us Stefon,Buzz,Gary and I will be sharing duties and we would be greatfull if the delegates of each league help out a little more.

Also if the leagues go to 12 players (which they may in some) a section of the Sundays play off time will be apportioned to completing leagues.

This may actually help the Sundays attendance for the OCLP who are still a main sponsor.

If there is a larger league, with more games,we need to be more attentive to our fixtures and therefore we may be bringing in a points deduction for people who are not at their games on time ie through fag breaks or other prelonging problems.

To see this league survive, we had to slimline it drastically. The calendar sadly had to go allthough it was greatly informative and it made us money.

Due to this , the sponsors have had a slight reduction in their payment and this has a knock on effect to our income.

We have now decided to compensate for this , the following will apply :-

The reistration sponsorship fee , we mentioned will NOT be in place as it will be more of a PAY AS WE GO system.

To balance all the above out we will be  charging under 16's - £5 and all players 16 and above will be charged now £15 and not £13 for ech Premier Leagues.

All comps will be now £5 per person. Most were before except th Soapy's singles.

We have decided these minor adjustments as at the end of each year we cannot be operating at a loss as it will end in the demise of the league. At present after all your good work last year we have money in the bank. This will now be there to hve future exhibitins withoutthe stress levels , we had before. If people don't attend, we have lost nothing. If they do, te money will then return to the kittie for future exhibitions or league reasons. We are now at a good position we have never been in before and we are just making each year balanced , to prelong the leagues existence.

We thought it best to raise these leagus by £2 rather than slap a £10 to £15 sponsor or registration form on everyone.

We will allways be adapting to keep our head above water but we think these are fair changes at present after looking for solutions.

I hope to see you all saturday where we will be getting the games going asap as we have more this time by the looks.

John.

Ill note it for him. We can't put them in a direct league now but have to look at the spaces on the day, but they will definately get a game.Just don't publically ask us to slot them in or lugsey will be signing them up for the cubicle 2 league mate.

Thanks for the notification

well that last word has baffled Chris Dykes. He'll be asking if it's  a type Lucozade sports drink if he could type !!

Only teasing Ron.I think it's great Huw Ware is calling in such an event.

I've allways said we had darting talent in the area, and maybe one day we'd see one of us on the World stage, but I did not think it would be a caller.

It's a great start mind and I can give it all up now knowing our aim has been met.

Before we all do mind, we'll have the AGM for the league

We'll make it 7pm at the OCLP on the 17th Jan (next tuesday) as i will give us more time if preperaions for he year need to be met.

If any league member wants to be there to see the balance sheets and give any input for the future please turn up at 7pm.

In regards to Peter Owen, he is a Bettws boy and plays for the Bettws odds in the Aberkenfig league.I think he maybe their Captain.
